ISLAMABAD – A returning officer (RO) has rejected Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) chief Imran Khan’s nomination papers for NA-95 constituency ofMianwali for General Elections 2018 over submitting incomplete affidavit.
As per details, Imran Khan’s nomination papers for NA-95 have beenchallenged by an independent candidate for the same National Assembly seat.Sargodha District Bar Association President Ansar Abbas Baloch filedobjections on behalf of independent candidate Manzoor Khan in the court ofreturning officer Tariq Mehmood of NA-95 Mianwali.
Meanwhile, the nomination papers of Sheikh Waqas Akram and Ahmed Ludhianviwere also rejected by the RO. No candidate from PML-N side exist exceptWaqas from Jhang to contest against the PTI candidate. Abida Hussain tookback the nomination papers and Fehmida Mirza’s nomination papers alsorejected for reserved seats.
