ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation of Pakistan left for Washington as acounter strategy against the construction of the controversial IndianKishan Ganga 330 Mw hydropower project in occupied Kashmir.
The delegation led by Attorney General of Pakistan (AG) Ashtar Ausaf willdemand of World Bank (WB) to constitute an international court ofArbitration and will appraise it about reservations for not accepting theappointment of the neutral expert
As per media reports, Indian premier Modi inaugurated Kishan Ganga 330MWpower project on Saturday in occupied Kashmir.
As a counter strategy, a high-level delegation of Pakistan left forWashington at the same time.
The delegation comprising Secretary Water and power, Indus watercommissioner of Pakistan and director general for South Asia Dr MuhammadFaisal led by AG Ashtar Ausaf will hold meeting with World Bank (WB) withina day or two and will try to convince it that Kishan Ganga Dam is acontroversial dam, therefore, WB should constitute the International Courtof Arbitration according to treaty.
This delegation will also apprise WB about reservations of Pakistanregarding the appointment of the neutral expert.
