KARACHI: Election Commission of Pakistan has issued election schedule of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chairman and Vice Chairman here at today while polling would be held on June 8.
As per details issued by ECP, Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chairman and Vice Chairman candidates would be able to submit their nomination papers on May 23,24 while nomination papers would be scrutinized on May 25,26.
Review appeals would be filed on May 28 against the verdicts of returning officers regarding the rejection and acceptance of nomination papers.
Final list of candidates for the slot of Mayor, Deputy Mayors, Chairman and Vice Chairman would be issued on June 1st while election symbols would also be assigned to all candidates on the same day.
It is also worthy to mention here that local bodies elections had been held in Sindh last year in three phases however, matter of election method had been sent in court on the reserved seats of mayor, deputy mayors, chairman and vice chairman.
