ISLAMABAD- A meeting of National Assembly Standing Committee on Informationand Broadcasting was held in Islamabad on Thursday with Pir Aslam Bodla inthe chair.

The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzebtold the participants that the law allows channels to broadcast ten percentforeign content.

The Secretary Information informed the Committee that a new channel ‘PTVParliament’ would be launched and project has been included in next year’sdevelopment programme.

Members of the Committee emphasized that national culture and values shouldbe highlighted in children’s programmes.
