China s Huawei to launch first ever 5G enabled smart phone

BEIJING – *Chinese manufacturer Huawei recently announced about its firstever 5G enabled smartphone that is all set to arrive by late next year.*

During the 2018 global analyst summit held in China, the company announcedthe news that probably company’s Mate 30 will be its first even 5G enabledphone and is expected to arrive by the third quarter of 2019, provided thatthis year’s model is dubbed as the Mate 20.

As per *The Inquirer, *not much was revealed by the company regarding thephone but, it did say that for the 5G smartphone it will use its own 5Gmodem.

The company’s first 5G modem called the Balong 5G01 was released at MWC inFebruary, which will offer download speeds of 2.3Gbps. However, this modemis unlikely to make it to the 5G smartphone as Huawei is working onreleasing a 5G chip for smartphones, which will be available by 2019’ssecond half.

Moreover, Huawei also aims that there will be 1.1 billion 5G connections by2025 and 200 million 5G-connected cars, reported *Android Central.*
