Pakistan Iran to sign MoU over diverse fields

ISLAMABAD- Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and LiteraryHeritage, Irfan Siddiqui has said Pakistan and Iran are tied in thereligious, historical and cultural bond which requires enhancingcooperation on literary and cultural fronts.

He expressed these views while talking to Iranian Cultural Counselor,Shahabuddin Darai in Islamabad on Monday.

He said the two countries also share the same literary and poetic legacywhich is vital to bring peoples of both countries further closer.

Irfan Siddiqui emphasized on taking mutual steps for preservation andpromotion of calligraphy, besides other fields of arts.

He appreciated the services of the outgoing counsellor in Pakistan andhoped he will continue his efforts to further strengthen relations betweenPakistan and Iran.

During the meeting it was agreed that Pakistan and Iran will formally signa Memorandum of Understanding soon to explore more avenues of cooperationin the fields of literature, arts and culture.

Iranian Cultural Counselor also invited Advisor to Prime Minister to visitTehran for signing of the this MoU.

Speaking on the occasion, Iranian Cultural Counselor, Shahabuddin Daraipaid tribute to the exemplary contribution of National History and LiteraryHeritage Division for promotion of literature, arts and culture in thecountry.
