ISLAMABAD – Economic Coordination Committee has directed the Ministry ofIndustries and Production to ensure placing of names of personnel underinvestigation in NAB cases regarding Pakistan Steel Mills on the ExitControl List.
The direction was given by the committee at its meeting in Islamabad todaywith Finance Minister Asad Umar in the chair.
Earlier, the ministry gave an update on the current status of NAB casesabout Pakistan Steel Mills.
The ECC considered and approved proposal of Ministry of Commerce regardingnecessary additions in labelling requirements for import of edible products.
Ministry of National Food Security and Research apprised ECC about demandand supply situation of Urea and DAP fertilizers in the country. The ECCdirected for continued functioning of urea plants till October this year toensure sufficient supply of fertilizers.
The Economic Coordination Committee also directed for formation of acommittee headed by Minister for Ports and shipping to bring up proposalsfor prompt and efficient cargo clearance at ports.
It also ordered to form a Task Force headed by Special Advisor to PrimeMinister on Overseas and Human Resource Development for giving concreteproposals on development and export of manpower.
