Attacks carried out at walls of Pakistan House in Delhi in wake of Pulwama attack: Report

MULTAN – Attacks were being carried out at walls of Pakistan House in Dehliin the wake of Pulwama incident, Foriegn Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said.

He said that today’s Pakistan was “Naya Pakistan” and things have changedcompared with Pakistan of the past. India is itself creating unrest in heldKashmir due to excessive use of power, he said adding that pellet guns werebeing used against innocent Kashmiris.The foreign minister said that Kashmiri youth had been standing up againstIndian atrocities and holding peaceful demonstrations against oppression.He said that Kashmiri people were seeking shelterin mosques due to brutalities of Indian forces, who are attacking theMuslims of held Kashmir and damaging their properties.The minister said that he had written to United Nations Secretary GeneralAntonio Guterres about India’s designs of creating an atmosphere ofjingoism among its people. He said that his letter had also beendistributed among the members of Security Council. He said that he hadalready talked to his Russian counterpart that Indian leadership coulddemonstrate irresponsible behaviour before their elections.Qureshi said that India was also talking about revisiting Indus WaterTreaty for the sake of internal politics. He added that India should not bein any misunderstanding because Pakistan knew very wellhow to protect its rights.Qureshi said that he also met Pakistani High Commissioner to New Dehli inIslamabad in order to asses the situation in India following Pulwamaincident. He said that he had instructed foreignmissions to present Pakistan’s viewpoint to the world amicably.Similarly, a meeting of experienced diplomats is being convened inIslamabad to devise an effective strategy.Responding to a question about Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, the foreignminister said that India wanted acquittal, release and return of Jadhav,but Pakistan has solid evidence against the spy. Pakistani jurists arepresenting its point of view in the International Court of Justice, headded.To another question about trade between Pakistan and India, Qureshi saidthat New Delhi had withdrawn the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status toPakistan, adding that it had also increased 200 per cent import duty onPakistani products. The Indian leadership was talking about closure of busservice between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad.Similarly, attacks were being carried out at walls of Pakistan House inDehli in the wake of Pulwama incident, he regretted.
