WASHINGTON: The spokesperson for the US Department of State, Heather Nauerthas said that Pakistan knows the US reservations over Hafiz Saeed andadding that Pakistan should prosecute the mastermind of Mumbai attacks.
This she said while talking to media persons on Friday morning and accusedthat Hafiz Saeed is the real mastermind behind the Mumbai attacks in 2008.
She added that the US has sent a message to Islamabad to conduct strictaction against Hafiz Saeed.
The designated terrorist should be prosecuted to the fullest extent oflaw, she added.
The United Nations sanctioned Saeed over his role in terrorist outfitLashkar-e-Taiba, which was allegedly responsible for carrying out theMumbai attacks in 2008 that killed 166 people.
The US also desires the Lashkar-e-Taiba be labeled a terrorist organizationinternationally.
