According to details, People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while addressing a press conference in Okara, said that whether anyone agrees or not, there is a political and economic crisis in the country and none of it were solved when Imran Khan was sent to jail.
There are challenges in terms of peace, security, and terrorism. In the past, when the People's Party was handed responsibility, there was an economic crisis at that time too. The PPP government understood the crisis and revived the economy. The People's Party transformed revenues into profits and initiated revolutionary programs like the Benazir Income Support Program. The good initiatives taken in the past will be repeated.
They expressed good wishes for Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and said that taking the oath with his spouse standing beside him is a powerful message, and they hope that the organization will improve with the arrival of the new Chief Justice.
Bilawal Bhutto demanded that elections be held as soon as possible in the country, and the People's Party has never run from elections. They are not concerned about attaching themselves to a wall. When Zulfikar Bhutto was hanged, it was said that the People's Party was being attached to a wall, but Shaheed Benazir Bhutto did not back down from elections after burying the unmatched leader, and even today, our demand is the same, that elections should be held. If the election schedule is announced today, then we can ask who is forming which alliance.
