In the last days of October, WhatsApp support is being discontinued for several older Android phones. According to media reports, if you are using a 9 to 10-year-old Android phone, you should replace it; otherwise, using WhatsApp will not be possible a few days later.
After October 24, WhatsApp will work on phones running Android 5.0 or later operating versions.
According to WhatsApp's FAQ page, currently, WhatsApp can be used on Android 4.1 or later operating systems, but from October 24, 2023, support will only be provided for Android 5.0 or later versions for the messaging app.
Prominent Indian celebrities, including Gopi Grewal, have arrived in Kartarpur.
This means that WhatsApp support will be discontinued for all operating systems prior to Android 4.1 or Android 5.0.
WhatsApp further explained on its FAQ page that when support is discontinued for an operating system, users are notified in advance and advised to upgrade.
