SIALKOT (APP): Sialkot International Airport (SIA) Chairman, Malik Muhammad Ashraf said on Tuesday that another runway would be constructed at Sialkot International Airport.
Talking to the media, he said the proposed runway would be constructed on 200 acres of land and the feasibility report of the runway was under process. The basic concept of the construction of parallel runway was to ensure the landing of all type of planes at Sialkot International airport, he added.

"We are trying our best to provide maximum facilities to passengers at airport and many steps had already been taken in this regard," he said.
He urged the authorities concerned to take immediate steps for the installation of lights along airport road and widening of seasonal nullahs flowing near the airport.
He disclosed that a proposal for the construction of a four to five-star hotel and an exhibition hall at airport had been given to the government.

The main object of setting up a hotel was to provide modern accommodation to foreign visitors during their visit to Sialkot and establishment of exhibition hall was to hold international and domestic trade fairs and exhibition as well as for holding single country exhibition.
