MOSCOW: The world biggest nuclear power icebreaker named Arktika has been floated by Russia.
As per details, the world biggest icebreaker has been designed by Russian experts for travelling to North Pole.
Icebreaker Arktika is unique in this way that nuclear reactor are used to run this icebreaker. Russia is the only country that use nuclear reactor to run icebreaker.
Russia Icebreaker has capability to break ice 3 meters and can carry 33,000 tons. Icebreaker requires a crew consisting of 75 people while it has own helicopter for ice reconnaissance.
Icebreaker Arktika length is 173-3 meter and its speed is 22 nautical miles.
