Chinese and South Korean envoys on Korean peninsula affairs met in Seoul to discuss the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and an expected second summit between u.s. And North Korean leaders.
China's vice foreign minister and special representative of the Chinese government for Korean peninsular affairs, Kong Xuanyou and South Korea's special representative for Korean peace and security affairs sat down for talks.
The meeting came as U.S. And South Korean media said U.S. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo and North Korean official Kim Yong Chol were expected to meet in Washington dc on Friday to discuss the second summit between their leaders.
Meanwhile, North Korea's top envoy involved in talks with the United States arrived in Beijing today.
South Korean news agency Yonhap said North Korean official Kim Yong Chol is expected to board a flight to Washington on Thursday evening.
