ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar Thursday said the federal cabinet approved the removal of two names from the Exit Control List (ECL) in compliance with the Supreme Court order.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the government placed the names of 172 persons, including Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on the ECL after the recommendations of the Joint Investigation Team's report and added that after the court decision, the government removes their names. He said the Opposition was criticizing the government to escape from ongoing accountability process and looking for a safe way to escape unpunished from the country.

He said the government would not give National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) to those who had plundered the national wealth.

Usman Dar said the government was successfully running its affairs and taking the country out of economic crisis through its prudent policies and welfare projects.
Commenting on the previous regime, he said they have damaged the national institutions for hiding their corruptions and illegal money.

Replying to a question about political victimization through NAB, he said the National Accountability Bureau was not under the government, adding that all the cases against the leaders of PPP and PML-N were started during previous regimes.
