Action against kite-flying continues

LAHORE: The police have arrested 1,853 accused for kite-flying and manufacturing its material during the last two-and-a-half months.
About 347 accused were arrested in City division, 552 in Cantt Division, 84 in Civil Lines, 147 by Sadar Division, 150
in Iqbal Town and 573 accused were arrested in Model Town division.

DIG Operations Waqas Nazir on Sunday directed officers to take stern action against kite-flying and those involved in manufacturing kite material.
All divisional SPs have been directed to ensure ban on kite-flying in their respective areas, whereas the SPs would
also send a daily report to DIG office regarding the crackdown against kite-flying.

The DIG urged parents to refrain their children from kite-flying.
