Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Moonis Elahi on Sunday took PTI ChairmanImran Khan into confidence over the statement of his father CM Punjab ChPervaiz Elahi.

The former federal minister Moonis Elahi paid a surprise visit to PTIChairman’s residence here at Zaman Park and tried to clarify the situationcreated after the interview of Moonis Elahi on a private channel.

PTI central leader Fawad Chaudhry was also present in the meeting. Themeeting lasted only for twenty minutes in which Imran Khan expressed hisdispleasure over Pervaiz Elahi’s statement. The sources said that MoonisElahi again assured the PTI Chairman of the party’s cooperation. Bothleaders agreed to continue working to strengthen the political ties.

It is pertinent that Pervaiz Elahi while giving an interview to a local TVexpressed his annoyance with the former prime minister and PTI ChairmanImran Khan over his continuous criticism of former army chief Gen (r) QamarJaved Bajwa. Punjab CM Elahi said that he had urged PTI chief to avoidcriticism of Gen (r) Bajwa during his yesterday’s Liberty Chowk rallyspeech. Imran Khan criticised Gen Bajwa in his Lahore speech during mypresence which is an injustice to me,” he added.
