ISLAMABAD – Serene Air can now operate international flight routes,becoming Pakistan’s third private airline after Shaheen Air and Air Blue togo global.
The permission by Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) comes days afterthe government relaxed aviation policy to facilitate the private airlines.
According to PCAA rules, an airline can apply for an international licenceonly if it successfully operates domestic flights for over a year.
Headquartered in Islamabad, Serene Air started domestic operations inJanuary 2017.
The private airline has been asked to submit a schedule of itsinternational flights.
