DUBAI – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday met Sheikh Mohammed bin RashidAl Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler ofDubai, during his official visit to the Gulf country.
Sources in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said the two leaders discussedregional, global affairs and bilateral ties.
Earlier in the day, the Pakistani premier held a meeting with ShiekhMuhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and DeputySupreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, in which they agreed totransform Pakistan-UAE Relations into long-term strategic economicpartnership.
Khan is on a day-long official visit to the Gulf country on the invitationof Abu Dhabi crown prince.
Upon his arrival at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, PM Khan wasaccorded an official reception where the Pakistani national anthem wasplayed, and a 21-gun salute was fired in his honour. Khan and hisaccompanying delegation were also greeted by a number of Sheikhs and seniorofficials who welcomed his visit to the country.
