ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister held a meeting with his counterpart and VicePresident of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid al Maktoumat Zabeel Palace in Dubai today (Sunday).
They exchanged views on regional situation and matters of bilateralinterest.
Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to transform theirbilateral relations into Long Term Strategic Economic Partnership.
The concurrence came during talks between Prime Minister Imran Khan andCrown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan inAbu Dhabi today.
Expressing satisfaction at the positive trajectory of relations, the twoleaders agreed to take immediate measures to further elevate their historicpartnership. They resolve to strengthen trade and economic ties andelimination all impediments to seamless flow of trade and investmentbetween the two countries.
The two sides agreed to chalk out a comprehensive roadmap to acceleratecooperation and partnership in areas encompassing trade, investment,economic development, energy, infrastructure and agriculture.
Prime Minister Imran Khan briefed the UAE leadership about his government’speople centric reform agenda including the steps being taken to eliminatecorruption and promote transparency and accountability at all levels ofgovernment.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque inAbu Dhabi today where he was received by Director General of the MosqueYoseuf Alobaidli.
Imran Khan offered prayer and appreciated grandeur of the mosque.
The Prime Minister also visited Martyr Square (Wahat Al Karam) Abu Dhabilaid wreath at the memorial at the Square.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan was presented a Guard of Honor uponarrival at the Presidential Palace. National Anthems of both the countrieswere played.
