Pakistan Oman vow to enhance bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD – A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between theSenate of Pakistan and Majlis Al Dawla of Oman to increase parliamentarycooperation and exchange between the two upper houses.

The agreement was signed in Muscat today (Sunday) during a visit of Senatedelegation led by Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.

The invitation of this visit was extended by Chairman of the State Councilof Oman Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al-Manthri.

The delegation also witnessed the military parade as special guests, whichwas presided over by Sultan Qaboos Bin Said al Said to mark the 48thNational Day of Oman.

The delegation held meetings with several senior officials in the Sultanateand leadership of the Upper and Lower Houses of Oman.

The visit comes within the framework of positive bilateral relationsbetween the Sultanate and Pakistan, and the two countries’ keenness tostrengthen the existing cooperation between them in several fields.
