In the last days of October, WhatsApp support is being discontinued forseveral older Android phones. According to media reports, if you are usinga 9 to 10-year-old Android phone, you should replace it; otherwise, usingWhatsApp will not be possible a few days later.
After October 24, WhatsApp will work on phones running Android 5.0 or lateroperating versions.
According to WhatsApp’s FAQ page, currently, WhatsApp can be used onAndroid 4.1 or later operating systems, but from October 24, 2023, supportwill only be provided for Android 5.0 or later versions for the messagingapp.

This means that WhatsApp support will be discontinued for all operatingsystems prior to Android 4.1 or Android 5.0.
WhatsApp further explained on its FAQ page that when support isdiscontinued for an operating system, users are notified in advance andadvised to upgrade.
