Several players from the Pakistan cricket team were suffering from a viralinfection before their crucial match against Australia in the World Cup,and opener Abdullah Shafique has been placed in quarantine. After ashameful loss to India in the World Cup, the national team was alreadyfacing criticism, and their morale had already taken a hit.
Now, multiple players had contracted viral infections, with opener AbdullahShafique being the most severely affected and put in quarantine. They havebeen advised to avoid unnecessary contact.
In addition to Abdullah Shafique, Shaheen Shah, Saud Shakeel, and ZamanKhan are also severely affected by the viral infection. According toCricket website “Cricinfo,” all players have undergone necessary tests forthe viral infection, and none of them show signs of dengue.
