Indian Air Force kicks off joint military exercise with the Islamic country Air Force

NEW DELHI – Indian Air Force kicks off joint military exercise with theIslamic country Air Force.

India’s MiG-29 fighter jet is participating in an exercise abroad for thefirst time.

The twin-engine, single seater air superiority fighter aircraftof Russian origin is capable of attaining maximum speed of 2,445 km perhour (Mach-2.3).

IAF is participating in a joint exercise with the Royal Air Force Oman(RAFO) at Air Force Base Masirah.

Titled ”Eastern Bridge V”, the exercise is aimed at enhancinginter-operability during operations between the two air forces and providean opportunity to learn from each other’s best practices, the IAF said.

The IAF’s Globemaster will provide logistical support during the exercise.
