ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Thursday strongly condemned Kandahar terrorist attackwhich reportedly killed senior security officials and left many othersinjured.
“Pakistan stands with the Afghan government and people and reiterates itssupport for the Afghan democratic process.
We hope that the parliamentary elections taking place the day aftertomorrow would be held peacefully. Strengthening of democracy is key tolong term peace and security in Afghanistan,” Foreign Office spokesman, ina statement, said.

He said Pakistan condemned terrorism and expressed the heartfelt sympathiesand condolences to the families and friends of those who had lost theirlives. He also prayed for swift recovery of the injured.
