ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Finance Asad Umer underlined the need forinvestigating the reports of ‘Wall Street Journal’ containing the matter of’Offshore companies’ scandals.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that National AccountabilityBureau which is an investigative institution, would conduct the inquiryregarding these reports. He made it clear that the PTI government would notaccept any deal based on kick-backs.
Asad Umar said PTI government has levied taxes on wealthy people, while nonew tax has been imposed on the poor.
Commenting on currency rate, he said it was the prerogative of state bankto formulate the policy regarding currency rate.
