Parvez Elahi’s family’s bail has been accepted. According to details, inthe Islamabad High Court, the bail of former Punjab Chief Minister ChaudhryParvez Elahi’s family was heard before the arrest request.
The court approved bail for Parvez Elahi’s wife, son, and daughter-in-lawfor 7 days in exchange for bonds of 20,000 each. Parvez Elahi’s family hadfiled the bail request in the Islamabad High Court before the arrest.
On the other hand, the Anti-Terrorism Court has granted former PunjabChief Minister Parvez Elahi a one-day remand for terrorism-related charges.Parvez Elahi’s lawyer, Sardar Abdul Razzaq, appeared in court.
Judge Abul Hasanat Dzulkarnain asked when Parvez Elahi would be released.The investigating officer told the court that it’s a case of breaking intothe judicial complex. Lawyer Safaiyat informed the court that sometimesthey are detained in one city, and other times in another. Judge AbulHasanat Dzulkarnain remarked that you people also didn’t gather a crowdtoday, to which the lawyer explained that they were supposed to gather thebail crowd today.
