Pakistan and Turkmenistan Presidents held key talks over important issues

President Dr Arif Alvi and his Turkmen counterpart GurbangulyBerdimuhamedov have exchanged views on bilateral relations, implementationof Turkmenistan Afghanistan Pakistan Iran Gas Pipeline Project, and TAPPower Transmission lines.

During a telephonic conversation on Friday, they emphasized need to furtherstrengthen and diversify trade, economic and energy cooperation between thetwo brotherly countries.

The President underscored need of early operationalization of TAPI projectthat would go a long way in further strengthening bilateral relationsbetween the two countries.

Underlining the significance of China Pakistan Economic Corridor, he saidthat the Corridor would boost regional connectivity and countries of theregion.

The President highlighted brutalities and human rights violations beingcommitted by the Indian occupation forces against the innocent populationof Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed online meetings of existinginstitutional mechanisms between the two countries to enhance cooperationin various areas.
