NEW DEHLI – Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has hit out atthe Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu.
She reprimanded Punjab cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for misusingpolitical clearance granted for the private visit by hugging Pakistan armychief.
After Indian media, Sidhu, who took the message of peace from Pakistan, wascriticized by the Indian politicians. Navjot Singh Sidhu met with SushmaSwaraj.
During the meeting, External Affairs Minister rebuked Navjot Sidhu formessing up Kartarpur Sahib corridor dialogue and misusing politicalclearance granted for private visit by hugging Pakistani army chief.

Sidhu had visited Pakistan last month to attend the swearing ceremony ofPrime Minister Imran Khan. A picture of him hugging Pak army chief GeneralQamar Javed Bajwa had gone viral which invited severe criticism fromseveral quarters including from his boss Punjab Chief Minister AmarinderSingh.
Earlier, Sidhu had written to Sushma Swaraj, urging her to make everypossible effort on the issue of Kartarpur Sahib gurdwara and said Pakistanhad shown positive intent in providing access to the historic shrine.
