ISLAMABAD – Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Abu Bakar KhudaBakhsh has made startling revelations against the former CCPO Lahore AminWains.
He alleged that former Lahore capital city police officer (CCPO) Amin Wainsand former superintendent of police (SP) Umar Virk indulged in brokering aforced agreement between both parties and Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP)Mian Saqib Nisar has summoned both the officers to explain themselves,reported a local medialink outlet.
An application had been filed by the two widows of Sheikh Ajmal accusingthe officers of selling their late husband’s business entities via a forcedagreement.
AIG Bakhsh also said that the inspector general of police (IGP) hadrecommended that a First Information Report (FIR) should be registeredagainst the accused.
The CJP observed that the mere registration of an FIR would not serve anypurpose and the case could be referred to the National AccountabilityBureau (NAB).
