Security forces successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by Khawarij militants from across the Afghan border, arresting five suspected suicide bombers.
According to security sources, the group crossed into Pakistani territory and advanced toward the Azizkhel and Mandikhel areas. In response to the swift deployment of security personnel, the suspects sought refuge in a mosque located in the Besikhel area.
Acting promptly, security forces surrounded the mosque and executed a well-coordinated operation, leading to the militants’ surrender without resistance.

All five detained individuals are Afghan nationals, with three reportedly in possession of Afghan identity cards. The suspects have been transferred to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
