A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held in Quettatoday for sighting the crescent of Muharram-ul-Haram, the first month ofthe Islamic calendar.
Chairman of the committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will announce the finaldecision regarding the moonsighting.
The 1st of Muharram will be on Wednesday if the moon is sighted today,whereas, it will be on Thursday if the moon is not sighted today.
Punjab Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department Secretary Dr Tahir RazaBukhari will preside over the meeting of the zonal committee.
