Imran Khan granted bail by DSJ in five cases

*ISLAMABAD: The district and session court in Islamabad on Monday grantedbail to the former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan in five casesagainst him. *

During the hearing, additional session judge East Abdul Ghafoor Kakarapproved the bail pleas of the former prime minister in five cases againstan Rs5,000 surety bond in each case.

Imran Khan also filed a plea to exempt him from proceedings in the casesfiled against at four police stations in Islamabad.

Previouslylink,former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman ImranKhan obtained interim bail in 10 cases filed by the incumbent governmentagainst him, hours after journalist Imran Riaz Khan and Opposition Leaderin Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh were arrested.

According to details, PTI leader Babar Awan appeared before the court onbehalf of Imran Khan in the district court and pleaded that the PTIchairman could not appear before the court owing to a threat to his life.
