Pakistan and France ink important memorandum of understanding

*PARIS: **Pakistan and France ink important memorandum of understanding.*

*Pakistan and France signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promotebilateral cooperation in trade, investment and business between the twocountries on Thursday.*

The agreement was signed by Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haqueon behalf of Board of Investment (BOI) of Pakistan and ChristopheLecourtier, Chief Executive Officer of Business France in a special signingceremony held at the headquarter of Business France in Paris.

The signing of the MoU was witnessed by the French government officials,officers of the Business France and Embassy of Pakistan, members of Frenchcivil society and media.

Speaking on the occasion, the ambassador congratulated Business France andBOI over the agreement, terming it as a testimony to growing businessrelations between Pakistan and France.

He noted that the new agreement would encourage and facilitate businessmenand investors from both countries to forge closer contacts and partnerships.

The signing parties would also be able to help and support businessmen fromthe two countries for organising exhibitions, seminars and businessmissions.

Christophe Lecourtier, Chief Executive Officer of Business France, saidafter the signing of this landmark agreement, Business France willencourage and motivate French companies to invest in Pakistan and forgebusiness alliances with their Pakistani counterparts.

Business France is a French government agency created in 2015 with themerger of French Agency for International Investment and UBIFRANCE. It isresponsible for facilitating French small and medium-sized companies fortheir overseas investments and to promote France as an investmentdestination.
