LAHORE – The caretaker Punjab government on Wednesday raised minimumpension from Rs6,000 to Rs10,000, according to a notification issued by thefinance department.

The government has also raised minimun pension of families of retiredemployees from Rs4,000 to Rs7,500.

Retired employees (75 years and above) will receive Rs15,000 while theirwidows have now been entitled to receive Rs11,250.

The government has also announced a raise of 7.5, 10 and 15 per cent inpension for retired employees of various grades.
