MULTAN – Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday thwarted a terrorbid and arrested four terrorists of banned organization during an operationin Multan.

According to details, CTD personnel conducted an operation on intelligencereports near Bypass Road and arrested four terrorists indentified as AbdusSalam, Loaquat, Wajid Ullah and Muhammad Ahmed.

CTD spokesperson informed media that the arrested terrorists were planningto target political figures in Multan ahead of elections.

The CTD personnel also recovered five hand grenades, arms and maps ofsensitive installations from them. The arrested terrorists were shifted tosome undisclosed location for further investigation.
