ISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussain arrived in Dushanbe on Mondayafternoon on his four-day official visit to Tajikistan.

He was warmly received at the airport by Deputy Prime Minister ofTajikistan and other senior officials.

A Tajik woman in traditional dress presented the distinguished guest abouquet of flowers.

Earlier, Pakistan Ambassador to Tajikistan Tariq Iqbal Soomro told APP thatPresident Mamnoon Hussain and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rehmon duringtheir talks will discuss the whole range of bilateral ties with a view tofurther strengthen and diversify the relations in different fields formutual benefit.

The President will also lead Pakistani delegation at the high level two-dayconference on the “International Decade for Action, Water for SustainableDevelopment” beginning in Dushanbe on Wednesday.

The conference being hosted by Tajikistan in cooperation with the UnitedNations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and other partners, willfocus on sustainable development and integrated management of waterresources for the achievement of social, economic and environmentalobjectives.
