LAHORE, (APP): Pakistan Railways recovery is an example to follow: PILDAT
Pakistan Railways (PR) has gone far down in the privatization list which proves a determination of the department for its revival.
Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) said this in its analysis report regarding the performance of Pakistan Railways, says a press release issued by the PR here on Friday.
Railways was in the list of those departments which had to be privatized but due to sincere efforts of Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique for bringing the department back on track, put the name of the railways far down in the privatization list.
The report has also mentioned the strategic plan of the railways according to which by 2025 the share of railways in the transportation sector of the country would increase from 4 to 25 percent and for which the development of present infrastructure, betterment of service, procurement of new locomotives and other matters were on priority.
