MIRPUR (AJK): (APP) Visiting Chairman of the Kashmir Salvation Movement and senior Hurriyat leader from Srinagar Zaffar Akber Butt Friday night emphasized for early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue to ensure the grant of right to self-determination to the people of Jammu & Kashmir without further delay.
The eminent Kashmiri hurriyat leader was speaking at a round-table Kashmir Conference hosted to accord rousing reception to two-member delegation of the Hurriyat leaders including his self and arrinder Singh Khalsa, a Hurriyat leader from Jammu, at a local hotel here Friday late night.
The ceremony was hosted by local APHC leader Muhammad Aslam Mallick in honour of the two Hurriyat leaders from occupied Kashmir.

The Round table conference was attended by eminent seasoned icons of the local civil society including Dr. Waleed Rasool, senior Kashmiri journalists Altaf Hussain Butt and Muhammad Imtiaz Butt, senior kashmiri journalist, analyst and Regional Director CPDR Altaf Hamid Rao, President PPP (SB) AJK Chapter Ch. Munir Hussain Advocate, former President Mirpur DBA and Rights activist Muhammad Riaz Inqlabi Advocate, ex AJKUJ President Hafiz Muhammad Maqsood, Rana Shabir Rajourvi and others.
Speaking on this occasion speakers including the key speakers Zaffar Akber Butt and Narrinder Singh Khalsa thanked the people and the government of Pakistan for extending moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris indigenous struggle for freedom of the motherland from the Indian yoke and for early peaceful settlement of the much-prolonged issue in line with the aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. “We pay rich tributes to the people and the government of Pakistan for their unflinching support to Kashmiris struggle for liberation”, they added.
Kashmir, they said, was not a territorial dispute between the two countries. Rather it involved the fate of 16 million people of Jammu & Kashmir State dwelling either side of the Line of Control and rest of the world.
They warned that any further delay in settlement of Kashmir issue could ignite a spark which could engulf not only to South Asia but also to the entire world. In such circumstances, the Kashmir has turned a threat not only to the regional peace but also to the global peace, they declared.
The two Hurriyat leaders from occupied Kashmir further said that the freedom of occupied Jammu and Kashmir from the Indian subjugation was the one-point unanimous agenda of the people of entire Jammu & Kashmir state.
Addressing the ceremony senior Hurriyat leader and Chairman Sikh Ittehad Forum from Jammu Narrinder Singh Khalsa said that the people of Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir state are fully unanimous and stand united over the prime collective cause of the achievement of the right to self-determination, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. “So Kashmiris struggle for freedom and right to self-determination should not be assumed only to the Muslim population of the state”, he categorically declared.
