ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has appointed Dr Moeed Yusuf asthe national security adviser.

According to the notification, the federal government appointed Moeed Yusufas the national security adviser, effective immediately. The notificationstated that after the new appointment, his status would be the same as of afederal minister.

Earlier, PM Khan had appointed Moeed Yusuf as the special assistant to theprime minister on national security division and strategic policy planningin December 2019.
