SHEIKHUPURA – Karachi-bound Karakoram Express narrowly escaped disaster asthe train engine caught fire near Sheikhupura Railway Station on Tuesday.

According to details, Karakoram Express was on its way to Karachi fromLahore when the engine caught fire near Sheikhupura Railway Station. Nodamage to the bogies of the trained was reported in the incident.

Railway traffic on the Lahore-Karachi track was suspended after theincident. Two trains were stopped at Joyawala and Farooqabad railwaystations.
