LAHORE – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has Monday rejected the petitionseeking formation of judicial commission in the Sahiwal incident case.
A two-member bench headed by LHC Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khanheard the petition. An inquiry report by Sahiwal sessions judge wassubmitted in the Lahore High Court.
Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan said in his remarks that it is not incourt’s jurisdiction to form the judicial commission, however, the counselis allowed to argue.

The lawyer said a judicial commission was also formed to probe the ModelTown incident, upon which the LHC inquired about the law which allows thecourt to form the commission.
