NEW DELHI – Former Indian PM Manmohan Singh has blamed PM Narendra Modi forthe ‘deteriorating’ law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir.”The Modi Govt has mismanaged Jammu and Kashmir like never before. Theatmosphere is deteriorating day in and day out. The support Pakistan givesto cross-border terrorism is certainly not acceptable to us. We should warnPakistan that their actions are detrimental to peace and prosperity,” Singhadded.
He likened the situation in the country today to what it was afterIndependence and held the Modi government responsible for the ‘challengingtimes’. “The Congress party made India what it is today. It led the freedomstruggle and guided India towards development after Independence. Today, weface similar challenges of carrying forward development and socialjustice,” he said.
