ISLAMABAD – Saudi Crown Prince MBS makes a special request to KP government
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman has called for a health centre to bemade in the hometown of a Pakistani hero who saved 14 lives duringthe floods in Jeddah in 2009, *Arab News*link on Monday,citing the state *Saudi Press Agency* (SPA).
As per the *SPA*link,the centre is to be made in the hometown of martyred Farman Ali Khan inKhyber Pakthunkhwa.
The crown prince issued the directives during his visit to Pakistan.He arrived on Sunday amid heightened security and arrangements in the twincities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
According to *Arab News*, during floods in November 2009, Khan secured arope to his waist and jumped into the water to rescue people. He was ableto save 14 persons but drowned when he attempted to rescue a fifteenthindividual.
After his death, Khan was posthumously awarded the ‘King Abdul Aziz Medalof the First Order’ by the Saudi government as well the PakistaniTamgha-i-Shujaat (the highest civil award for bravery) by the president atthe time, Asif Ali Zardari.
