CTD makes interesting revelations on transfer of funds to Daesh from Pakistan

KARACHI – The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has completed the probeinto sending of money to the defunct Daesh in Syria from Pakistan, said CTDDIG Umar Shahid during a press conference on Monday.

He said that the money was being sent to women belonging to Daesh in Syria.”The accused Umar Bin Khalid used to send money to Zia in Hyderabad whotransferred the money to Daesh after changing it into dollars and Bitcoin,”he disclosed.

He said that the Daesh had also made its Twitter account. “The forensicaudit of the accused Umar Bin Khalid has been completed,” he added.

CTD DIG Umar Shahid said that Umar Bin Khalid had given the funds of overRs one million to the defunct Daesh. “The accused had an easypaisa accountand asked the people to deposit the amount into it. The deposited money wastransferred to an account in Hyderabad where it was sent to Syria,” hedisclosed.

He said that they were investigating the use of the collected money at thelocal level. “We are looking for accomplices of accused Umar Bin Khalid. Acase has been registered against the accused on terrorism charges,” heconcluded.
