ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s opening batsman Fakhar Zaman believes that theteam’s struggle with the new ball is a key setback during the tour.
Talking to the media in Wellington on Thursday, ahead of the fifth andfinal One Day International on Friday, the 27-year-old batsman saidPakistan would try their best to end the series at 4-1.
“We are working very hard as a team and we will try our best to win thelast ODI and end the series at 4-1,” he vowed, as he admitted the team’sstruggles with the new ball.
“We are not doing too well with the new ball in New Zealand conditions. Wehave to get better in the starting 10 overs of the match,” Fakhar said. “Wetoo have many good things for us on this tour. We are focusing on thepositives,” he further said.
Pakistan will face New Zealand in the final ODI on Friday at Willington.
