KABUL link> : Chinese AmbassadorLiu Jinsong to Kabul has assured National Security Advisor Hanif Atmar ofencouraging Pakistan link> towards asincere role in the war against terrorism.
The new Chinese envoy, who called on Atmar, said Beijing wanted ameaningful friendship with Afghanistanlink> and was looking for investment indifferent areas, a statement from the National Security Council said.
Liu stressed on continuation of China, Afghanistan and Pakistan trilateralcooperation which he termed beneficial for the three countries.
The two sides stressed political, security and economic cooperation anddiscussed practical aspects of different projects.
Atmar said there was need for a joint strategy to eliminate the commonenemy in the region and asked the Chinese envoy to encourage Pakistan for asincere fight against terrorism in this regard.
Atmar added Afghanistan was interested to be part of China’s Belt and Roadinitiative and establishing multi-dimensional relations with China.
The national security advisor said the Afghan government was ready to holdtalks with Afghan Taliban link> and allother foreign terrorists would be eliminated.
