*KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) senior leader Aamir Khan on Monday claimed his party will be given the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis. *
Speaking to journalists informally outside the Sindh High Court today, Khan revealed the news while adding that MQM-P will name Syed Aminul Haque as its candidate for Minister of Overseas Pakistanis.
“We have had a detailed discussion with Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Karachi on Sunday,” Khan said. “We don’t know who has been given false assurances. All we know is that MQM-P has not been given false assurances,” he stressed.
Yesterday, a delegation of the MQM-P led by Minister for Information Technology Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui called on Prime Minister Imran Khan during his maiden visit of the metropolis.
During the meeting, matters of local bodies’ affairs, development schemes for Karachi and Hyderabad among others were discussed in the meeting.
