The captain of the national team, Shahid Afridi, says that in the 2011 World Cup, he made a promise to himself and prayed that Allah would keep him from being unfair to anyone.

Under the leadership of Shahid Afridi, the Pakistani team had reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in 2011, playing against India. Shahid Afridi stated that when he supported young players like Ahmed Shehzad and Fawad Alam, people said they were supporting those he favored.

He said that when he was new to the team, players like Misbah-ul-Haq, Inzamam-ul-Haq, and Wasim Akram had welcomed him and taught him how to handle the responsibility of a new player in the team.

Shahid Afridi mentioned that friendship is important, but as the captain of the Pakistan team, you have to lead everyone together, not just at the club level.

Friendships have to be set aside to lead the team. Misbah-ul-Haq emphasized that honesty plays the most significant role in leadership, saying that a person can make mistakes, but they should avoid indulging in mischief as it leads to consequences.

He added that when a person is in a position of power, they should focus on their own thinking rather than thinking about others, as that increases the chances of getting caught.
