Tehran, Oct 16, IRNA – Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Tuesday urged Pakistan government to take necessary measures for releasing Iranian kidnapped forces and also arresting the terrorists.

Qasemi slammed the terrorist act which resulted in the kidnapping of some Iranian border guards.

Fourteen Basij (volunteer forces) and border guard forces were abducted by terrorists in Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan border with Pakistan on Monday morning, an informed source earlier said.

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement that Pakistan is expected to fight terrorists and outlaws who have nested along the borders and are propped up by some reactionary and terrorist regional counties.

Foreign Minister's Assistant in West Asia called Pakistan ambassador to Tehran to spare no efforts in releasing Iranian forces in the framework of bilateral ties, good neighborliness and the commitments under bilateral agreements and international regulations.

Pakistan ambassador to Tehran has also been requested to reflect the issue as soon as possible and make Iranian Foreign Ministry informed of all developments.

Pakistan ambassador also expressed deep regret over the accident, Qasemi said.

Meanwhile, Iranian ambassador to Islamabad visited officials and urged Pakistan government to release Iranian border guards and to act firmly against outlaws and takfiri terrorists.
